Emineo Spain is located in Valencia. Various studies carried out in recent years have ranked Valencia as the most desirable city in which to live as a foreign national.

Valencia is a medium-sized city of around 800,000 people, modern and cosmopolitan, which is not only an important business centre, especially in the world of information technology, but also offers all kinds of cultural and leisure activities.

Its climate, with mild winters and warm summers and an average of more than 300 days of sunshine a year, invites you to enjoy life outdoors.

Valencia is also known for offering a high ratio between quality of life and cost of living. In particular, housing in Valencia is very affordable compared to other cities in Spain.

At Emineo Spain we offer flexibility in working from home and promote regular contact between team members. Therefore, if you live in another part of Spain and decide to move to Valencia, we will offer you financial support to facilitate your move.

If you plan to stay in Valencia for more than 6 months, you will need to register with the padrón de habitantes (both EU citizens and non-EU foreigners). This document is particularly important for non-EU foreigners, as it is necessary to obtain a residence permit in Spain and a Foreigner’s Identification Number (NIE).

The NIE (Número de Identidad de Extranjero) is the number that identifies every foreigner living in Spain. It is equivalent to the DNI (National Identity Document) number for Spaniards.

It is a number that will be required for most procedures in the country (from opening a bank account to taking out health insurance).

The personal number is the foreigner’s identifier that must appear on all documents issued or processed, as well as on the formalities stamped on the identity card or passport.

The following documents must be submitted in order to obtain the number

  • Standard application form (EX-15), duly completed and signed by the foreigner.

  • A statement of the economic, professional or social reasons justifying the application.
  • If the application is made through a representative, he/she must prove that he/she has sufficient power of attorney expressly stating that he/she is authorised to submit the application.

The affiliation number must be requested from the Social Security if you want to carry out any kind of work activity. It is mandatory for people who are in the system to be able to access their social rights and fulfil their contribution obligations.

This number, once assigned to you, is lifelong, exclusive and valid for all work regimes.
