emineo further strengthens its tax expertise: Patrick Brändli takes on the role of Head of Tax
emineo is strategically expanding its position in the market for digital tax solutions and is establishing the new “Tax” business area to support further growth. The objective is to consolidate market development, consulting, and the development of digital tax solutions for the Swiss market within one unit and drive them forward decisively.
As of 1 May 2026, Patrick Brändli will take over the leadership of this business area and will build a dedicated consulting and market unit for tax authorities. With over 30 years of experience in the Swiss tax domain, Patrick Brändli is one of the most recognised experts in the field. His career combines unique perspectives: from his early work in a municipal tax office to roles in software development and many years of responsibility for tax solutions in the public sector.
Most recently, he served as Head of Business Area Public at bbv Software Services. In this role, he was responsible for the further development of the public sector business, driving digital transformation, innovation, and new business models, while supporting clients from IT strategy through to the implementation of complex solutions.
A particularly formative stage of his career was at Abraxas Informatik AG – one of Switzerland’s leading providers of digital solutions for the public sector. As a product manager, he was responsible for key tax solutions over many years, shaping their strategic development and successfully positioning them in the Swiss market.
With the new “Tax” business area, emineo is consolidating its expertise in the tax domain and bringing together market development, consulting, and solution development in a powerful, integrated unit. The goal is to systematically scale existing strengths from projects – for example for the Canton of Zurich, the Swiss Tax Conference, or the Canton of St. Gallen – and transform them into standardised, future-ready solutions for the Swiss market. This also includes strategic initiatives such as the recently announced partnership with Ringler Informatik AG.
Patrick Brändli explains:
