eUmzugCH wins the silver award

September 2018

The online service eUmzugCH qualified for the annual eGovernment competition in the DACH-region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland): just a few weeks ago the jury awarded the project the silver award in the ‘cooperation’ category. In this forward-looking project emineo is the implementation partner and provided important strategic contributions. In the final public, on-line voting on 7 September 2018 throughout the DACH-region, eUmzugCH again won the silver medal – another fantastic success!

The 17th eGovernment competition for Germany, Austria and Switzerland has already taken place. The digitalization and modernization competition in public administration is sponsored under the overall leadership of the head of the Federal Chancellery, Prof. Dr. med. Helge Braun. Contributions are submitted in five categories. eUmzugCH is the most extensive cooperative project across three countries which also incorporates private business in the ‘cooperation’ category. The first round of the competition was judged based on a project presentation and an interview with the project managers. In a second round, the prize was awarded based on online voting, and eUmzugCH was again a leader.

‘This prize is a wonderful confirmation that was awarded by users – the populace itself’, emphasized Werner Zecchino, Founding Partner of emineo and project leader of eUmzugCH. The Cantons of AG, AR, GL, GR, SG, SZ, UR, ZG and ZH are already using the innovative eGovernment Service of eUmzugCH; other Cantons will follow in the coming weeks and months.
