A successful 2021 for emineo

May 2022: emineo’s turnover grew by 15 per cent over the previous year to reach CHF 37.8 million.

emineo’s turnover grew by 15 per cent over the previous year to reach CHF 37.8 million. This makes 2021 a successful fiscal year despite the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company strengthened its business operations in the domestic Swiss market with new major projects as well as a new branch opening in central Switzerland, while also driving forward the expansion of its international business very successfully.

In December 2021, emineo took over its previous partner Karamba! Switzerland – an IT consulting company and integrator of SAP solutions with a headcount of ten. Turnover increased by 15 per cent over the previous year. Meanwhile, 14 new employees joined emineo last year. This amounts to around a 9 per cent increase in employees compared to the previous year.

Existing customers massively expanded and new markets developed

The company supports numerous international corporations and national organisations in redesigning business processes and implementing state-of-the-art digital and SAP platforms. Renowned customers from the insurance sector (e.g. Sympany) and public administration (e.g. the Swiss Tax Conference) have chosen emineo’s digitisation or SAP expertise.

Portfolio of products and services expanded in a targeted manner

In April 2021, emineo transferred the product business to its own but separate company, emineo Products AG. This will enable the company to better meet the specific demands for innovative and modern products, while at the same time laying the foundation for portfolio expansions. Other growth drivers were consulting, functional and technological architecture.

Investment in internationalisation

emineo International SA (formerly emineo Suisse Romande SA) successfully bundles customer and project business, which goes beyond Swiss borders: emineo International is implementing the international supply chain for the innovative bio-pharmaceutical company Idorsia in S/4HANA. emineo is also implementing SAP Finance for the Geneva-based logistics and supply chain operator MEDLOG, which is active in over 75 countries. Over 50 countries have already been working with our financial system.

Establishment of a nearshore location

With INEO Innovative Technologies, the company is setting up a subsidiary in Spain. In this way, the company retains its edge in the competitive international market and can continue to access the services of proven IT and digitisation experts in a fast and scalable manner. This nearshore location should enable further growth and more flexible scheduling of employees.

“On behalf of management, I would like to thank our dedicated team and our customers for their trust. Only together could we make the second year of the coronavirus such a successful year for emineo. We are pleased to see that our corporate strategy is bearing fruit, which is clearly evident in this dynamic year of growth,” says Aleardo Chiabotti, CEO of emineo.

Outlook for 2022

emineo also expects growth for the current financial year although the Swiss labour market remains a challenge. Therefore, emineo International as well as INEO Innovative Technologies will play an important role in the company’s development.
