The consulting and software development company emineo generated sales of 45.9 million Swiss francs in the 2022 financial year. This corresponds to an increase of 21.5 per cent over the previous year (2021: 37.8 million Swiss francs). The Group was also able to attract numerous new talents and employed 194 highly qualified specialists in the areas of SAP consulting and software engineering by the end of the year (2021: 158).
“In a dynamic and increasingly price-sensitive market, we were able to grow by more than 20 per cent in 2022, both in terms of turnover and headcount. This pleasing result not only confirms our value-added strategy for our Customers by combining technological know-how and industry expertise. It also underlines our attractiveness as an employer in an extremely competitive environment,” sums up Aleardo Chiabotti, Group CEO of emineo.
A defining event in October 2022 was the merger of emineo with the German CONET group of companies from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The two software development houses and SAP Gold Partners are strengthening their market position in the DACH region. Even in the collaboration with CONET, emineo continues to operate as an independent company. However, Customers benefit from even greater expertise and a significantly broader range of IT services and products.
In the past business year, emineo was able to acquire several new Customers in the focus sectors of “public administration” and “insurance”. In addition, the company has significantly expanded its range of products and services. In future, IT solutions for industrial companies will be offered in the new focus sector “industry”. emineo has also been increasingly offering prototyping. For this purpose, the company bundles its experience in the fields of software engineering and UX design in order to visualise complex software solutions with prototypes at an early stage of the project cycle. With the new Managed Solutions and Application Management services, emineo is meeting the need of Customers to place the operation of IT solutions in the hands of a specialised partner. Finally, 2022 also saw the expansion of expertise in the area of key technologies such as SAP/S4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Data Warehouse Cloud.
The location in Valencia, Spain, also developed positively in 2022, where emineo was able to recruit numerous new talents and expand its network. For Customers, this means first and foremost greater flexibility in the handling of projects. If necessary, additional, highly qualified specialists such as software engineers or SAP consultants can be accessed quickly and easily.
In summer 2022, emineo founded its own training academy. In this way, the company invests in the education and training of its employees and is able to present them with long-term development paths. Especially in the technology sector, where the introduction of new methods or architectures is virtually overflowing, this is of essential importance. The curriculum currently includes courses on topics such as design thinking, user experience or agile process methods. With offers such as workshop leadership, rhetoric or language courses, a lot of emphasis is also placed on the personal development of the now just over 200 employees.
